Have you no consideration for others? You find enjoyment posting recipes which are absolutely delicious? The Braciole looks absolutely delicious. Molto bello!!
Norm, This is a new one on me. it sounds wonderful I just never herd of it
No hot sauce for me, though I will use tobasco sauce sparingly on wings, mixed with melted butter and honey. Great wedding story Chris. Highway Starr, looks good, too much garlic for me though I like to on occasion make spagetti. lasagna, or manicotta. I usually make my own sauce.
Dan - I'm a HUGE fan of simmering down tomatoes for marinara sauce. Absolutely nothing beats homemade marinara. A nice 1/2 bushel of tomatoes simmering on the stove for a 1/2 day seasoning along the way as you see fit.
I'm a huge fan of garlic - absolutely love garlic.

Yes. Would can tomatoes in mason jars with Mom & Dad. At the end of the growing season from the garden. Most were plum tomatoes. Cook, peel, deseed and boil in jars in huge pot. About 30 cases of quarts, a time consuming job. Would last until tomatoes were ripe the next year. But the sauce was amazing. Store bought tomato cans, are no match for taste. And oh yea bring on the garlic, big time. Have a old Italian recipe of making the best sauce. I would tell you the recipe, but would have to kill you after.
Had a small panic attack with my new( 150 hours] John deere 790 60" cut mower. Started digging up dirt, shut off blades and limped back to theee cleaning ramps. A few minutes later noticed flat tire on the rear. So I thought that was what was making it mow dirt. Jacked it up to level and removed tire . Took to get repaired but even at level still cutting into dirt
suspected bent blade or snapshot shafts. Called around to check parts availability and Called friend with hoist. He came and got it
turns out someone ran over steel wire that wrapped around shaft..Removed enough wire to choke a goat
Problem solved.
Norm. Do you use your motorcycle lift on your zero turn?
Jim - I park my Zero Turn on the lift. I have side rails and keep them attached. That lift has been a great addition to the man-cave. So easy to change blades, lubricate, change oil, etc. Any of my other ICE motorized equipment is so much easier to work on at waist level. Actually, anything is so much easier at waist level.
Jim - I don't believe they make my Model any longer, but I'm sure you'll find something of comparable capacity & pricing. I paid ~$1,350.00 It's both pneumatic and hydraulic. I generally use the pneumatic on a regular basis. I purchased it from a company called BendPak, 1645 Lemonwood Drive, Santa Paula, CA

I’ve witnessed complete dry beds in/near Riverside/Palm Springs become rivers 1-2 miles in width w/in a 24 hr period. Very wild indeed.
I understand the topograpy and the nature of the arroyos in that area very well. Around 1995 or 96 I worked on a very detailed mapping project centered on the Marine Corps Base at 29 Palms.
Not sure if it was on this site that I was introduced to this guys channel or not. Anywho I have been enjoying some of the uploads he has been producing. Check it out if you want.
Beautiful day here in Wisco. 48deg this am and warmed up to maybe just 80 low humidity nice breeze. Went to the Steam and Gas show with the new Electric Cart and checked out the tractors, saw mills, Big Boy Steam engines etc... Talked with some interesting old duffers, mostly just listened and soaked it in. This piece gave me an idea for a way to display some of Grandpa's (On both sides) tools I have in the shop just sitting in wooden boxes right now. Gett'm up and out on the wall to look at end enjoy.

Keith - Your weather sounds gorgeous. It's still very oppressive heat/humidity here. I like the tool art work - should be fun to create something similar.
Norm- Sounds like you have been having a struggle with that hot oppressive weather for some time now, it is really old real fast I am sure.
Yes the wall art gave me some ideas. I will more than likely lay it out flat get a pattern of sort then use some tie wire maybe to connect things. I don't have a welder or the heart to weld on tools with the sentimental value these have to me. There was a real creative wood carver that shared some of this buildings space I did not take any pictures of his pieces, just cool.

Maybe a metal (or wood) lattice - like a rose bush lattice, or something similar - then hang the pieces on the lattice. Another thought is a chain (two or more) hanging from ceiling/rafters, etc. with tools hanging from tie-wire on the chain. Thought anyways.
Yes I will have to tinker a bit and see what transpires. A saw blade, or large sprocket in lieu of the clock of the one pictured would be a good fit. That clock looks too new
Our little town of Pevely is having their summer festival this weekend, it actually started Thursday and goes thru Saturday evening. My oldest daughter, SIL, and their kids (3) met us downtown at the festival this evening so the 2 older kids could enjoy the kiddee carnival rides.
Grandma with our newest Grandson Rowan, 3-months
Me with Ollie, SIL Mike with Anna, and Rowan just cruisin
In conjunction with the festival they are having a Car Show in the City Park tomorrow morning that we're going to. Sunday I'm taking the car to a show in the little town of Maeystown, IL to benefit 1st Responders. Should be a fun weekend, although the temp spikes tremendously on Sunday. The forecast is for close to 100° Sunday.
I’m hoping we might actually get some rain from this. My landscape vegetation is barely hanging on. Even the prickly pear cactus patch is wilting. You know it’s bad when the cactus is suffering.

You're sitting right on the Eastern edge of any significant rainfall from Hilary. I think the Inland Empire of California might get a pummeling. Hopefully you'll get some moisture however it arrives you sure need it.
Went to the Pevely Days car show today and there was a great turnout. It was warm but I had a nice place to park with some shade which made it nice. My buddy with the '66 Vette came so I had great company, and my oldest daughter and her family that we just saw yesterday evening came for a little while. Grandson Ollie had a great time driving Grandpa's hotrod.
I really wanted to go to that show in Maeystown, IL tomorrow, but it's supposed to be 103° with a heat index of 115°. No thanks, that's too much, even for me. We're headed into another week of extreme heat with highs near 100 for the next 4 or 5-days, doesn't look like fun. I'm blaming Kenneth!
