My fault the bear is back!

The electricity went out in my ares for a afternoon so I had released the garage door during the outage to get the Old's out. The mistake was I didn't hook it back up after the juice came back on.The bear just let himself in and made a mess of my garage once more. I have 25 lbs of dog food on the floor and a garbage can contents spread full length of the garage. As usual the dog and I slept through it all. If I can remember how to download pictures again I'll show you guys how close the carnage is to my car. So far I see no damage..... Tedd

From the pictures you've shared, you've got a beautiful home Tedd in a great location. But I will say I only have to deal with raccoons and opossum. The messes they make aren't nearly as bad as what your bear can do! Good thing he didn't bounce the garbage can off the side of your car!!!

I can't imagine having bears around. The cat and I did find a live snake last week behind the TV stand. Just a friendly one,but don't tell the wife.

I heard on the news another California man had a bear jump the Fence and help himself to a cold drink and a lounge in the hot tub, but only before taking a nap.

Be careful Ted, your bear might be a candidate for relocation.

In the north Georgia Mountains, there are alot more "problems" this year, My neighbor's wooden garage door was ripped apart and the bear entered to get dog food and garbage bags. Must have something to do with this year's mast crop

Is that a typical picnic at your house??? What happens when they ask for seconds and you don't have any?

Family back in north Louisiana tell us of bear sightings there. That is really strange. Tedd, I think you need a new rug.

Indeed. Nothing gives a man satisfaction like using the skull of his enemy as a footstool at his chair before the hearth.

even the "tame" black bears are worthy of respect
i do know people who froze their garbage and took realistic precautions with the dog food barrels

As far as having dead critters hanging on my walls one of my EX wife's said it looked a little gruesome to her in the living room. Hell there were only 6 there looking at her at that time.

Man after all these years of no problems I'm I having trouble downloading pictures from my camera to my computer again. I would like to show you the carnage in my garage but it may have to wait till I get someone here that knows computers better than me.... Tedd

You need a trail camera or some kind of camera that alerts your smart phone, you do have a smart phone right?!?! when it senses motion in your garage. Or a motion detector that you can buy at Shipwreck Tools(Harbor Freight, Horrible Fright) that will beep when the bear enters your garage.

I think I made a thread a few years back on hunting decor. I have decided my basement access has plenty of vertical drywall as it drops, so that will be Bambi Central.

That also answers the relocation dilemma, relocated right to your floor.
