Music with some meaning for you.

Most people who look thru my music collection are stunned at what's in it. If I like it, I own it and the hell with you if you don't like it.
That said I own very little country. My dad forced me to listen to it as a kid. Didn't like it then, don't like it now. He never "got" that not everyone liked the same things he did.
This is the one that blew my mind to shreds in 1969 and opened my eyes and ears. Loud, nasty, snarling. And I loved it.
Long way from Conway Twitty.

Approaching 55, it looks like she's not aging in any hurry Here, an entire gallery. I'm not sure, though, if all of those are her photos or those of others. Yous be the judges :

The funny part of music, beyond everyone's personal taste, and what moved them, hit home to them.
Is when you hear a song you haven't heard since you were 11 years old.
I was a sheltered child. So, many songs meaning or subject matter, Went right over my head. It is like watching cartoons from your youth and now getting the jokes, in a tottally different way than you did back when your mind had a halo above it.

overlooked drum solo
I was out on a errand today when I heard this and thought to myself , here is a overlooked drum solo by a often overlooked drummer Carl Palmer !! this is not the version I heard on the radio but it's what I could find, OMG if you were at this concert in Montreal 1977 you got your moneys worth just from Carl Palmer alone ! this could be one of the best live drum sole's ever E.L.P. Carl Palmer - Tank-

I vividly recall the year it was released (1964). I listened to every Simon & Garfunkel album throughout my H.S. years (1966-1970). They were (are) an outstanding duo. For me, this is the most poignant rendition of Sound Of Silence (Disturbed, 2015) I have ever heard. David's (David Draiman) delivery is outstanding.

1970 - Isle of Wight, 600,000+
They don’t make cars or music like they did in 1970.
Great lyrics, great guitars, and a Mellotron!
