I bought a 66 GTO on BAT and Didn't Get Ripped Off

I got so tired of looking for years in New England with crazy high prices ... so I bought a real 242 66 GTO on BAT without seeing the car in person ! and it turned out better than it was presented - go figure !

Professional Paint from about 15 + years ago / was redone in So Cal / Runs Great / and I found the Protecto Plate in the Doc's included that the seller didn't even mention. Lots of receipts ... Car is original 389 4 Barrel 4 speed 3:55 posi. Car does have 2 small dents as the seller described.

Car now has a Pontiac 400 out of a 67 GTO and also has added 1966 TriPower. Car was originally Nightwatch Blue but was repainted 1966 Barrier Blue.

I used SGT Shipping from Delaware to Boston for $600, up to 3 days to pick up and 24 hour delivery - no issues.

Even a blind squirrel gets a nut. Nice Poncho.
Still regret not purchasing the 67 Mariner Turquoise/Pearl gut GTO that was for sale the same time I bought my 442. $3500 bux. Mint 400, 4bbl, buckets, stick...3500!...1985.
Still one of my fav cars and colors.

Nice buy, Bat is pretty detailed with tons of photos. Obviously nothings better than a personal look but that’s not always feasible. 442’s and GTO’s are my favorite A bodies. I have owned 5 GTO’s and 5 442’s. 1965, 66, 67 my fav years for GTO. 66,68, 70 and 71 on the 442😄
You got a very good deal on that car. Ok, my opinion..lol.. box the lower rear control arms and put a rear sway bar on it.., makes a much better handling car, just like the 442..I still don’t understand why Pontiac didn’t do that..probably keeping costs down is #1 reason.
