Demmer Engineering

I recently learned Demmer Engineering was still around. I assumed the building had been knocked down years ago to make room for a Starbucks or Dollar General.

While I was in town for the Homecoming I had to check it out.

I’m a lucky guy. My wife and kids don’t mind (and occasionally ENJOY!) my road trip detours. While they might have been mentally rolling their eyes while I geeked out over a business that modified cars decades ago, they didn’t say a word.

Had to make sure my car was in the pic!!

Very interesting. I'd never have thought the building and especially the signage remain. Well worth the trip.

It's pretty awesome to think about the cars that rolled through there.
I had to go and find it as well when I was up there last summer.
It's a pilgrimage kinda place, right?

That is so cool!

Last time my car was verified being under their care was April 1, 1969.

The Engineering "Students" from the MSU Project W31 group visited Demmer as the most recent siting of the lost drag car was at Demmer.

The trail is still cold but nobody will ever stop looking.
