Time for Old Geezer Commentary on Modern Society:
Obviously young'uns who have never driven a manual transmission, both on the application side and on the receiving side. If either had a clue, it would have been done correctly, reflecting reality and not a clueless "artist's conception" of what an antique manual transmisison shift pattern looks like.
