How did you spend your stimulus money?
Read an interesting statistic today from the New York Federal Reserve Bank. Fully 71% of the money handed out in the first round of payments last March was either put into savings or used to pay down debt. So less than one-third was actually used to buy things that wouldn't otherwise have been bought and thus would actually "stimulate" the economy. Sounds to me like Americans were, by and large, being smart with their free money.
It will be interesting to see what the percentages will be with the second round just recently enacted as well as the third round, which looks like it will be another $1400 per person, and which looks like it will soon become law.

What does the stock market have to do with anything?
I didn't get any stimulus, either. Nor do I expect anything out of these other ones, though I've heard everyone gets it, not just those under a certain salary.

You should give it to your grand kids because it's they that will have to pay it back as taxes. Remember the old adage there is no free lunch, it still as true as it always was. The only difference is they will be paying it back with greatly inflated dollars or yen if they don't except dollars..... Tedd
Majority went into a savings account for my Grandchildren, very small portion went towards my Wisc. fishing trip for next year. I had hoped to use a portion of it for the vacuum to electric wiper conversion for my Olds but some how it evaporated !
Round 1 went to fix the paint that had suddenly lifted on my d.s. rocker ( no rust} and fixed the dip in my quarter panel on my 70. #2 will go towards tires for the 70 which are a touch over 10 years old.

No **** on the ammo!!! The gun store near me wanted $60 for a box of .380 Wow! There is a large outfitter store, about 25 miles, Fin Feather & Fur in Ashland Ohio they wanted even more!! I can't wait to see what happens to prices in the very near future!!!!
You lucky dogs got your stimmy money.
I didn't get mine. After the IRS started answering phones again about 8 months ago, a very nice lady told me my record showed I would get the money but it was not scheduled. She said that means it will not come and to claim it on my 2020 tax. (She was right, there's actually a line item on there.)

I haven't bought a factory loaded round (except 22 LR) in probably 15 years. I reload everything and cast most anything. Sitting on probably 30 thousand primers and many pounds of powder, hope there isn't a fire. Not a survival type but use to be a completive shooter and saw this coming years ago when primers became hard to get. If you can't light them off they are just pieces of wood and Iron in a steel box(safe)...Keep your powder dry....... Tedd
It ain't over either. If they can't succeed in outlawing firearms for responsible shooters, they'll try to price ammo where responsible shooters can't afford to buy it. Even gun club membership has become a luxury now that I'm retired.
Really surprised the anti-gunners haven't completely lost their minds after 0106. They're usually baying at the moon by now.
Now that I've driven the thread in the ditch, I banked my stimulus both times. If it's like the first one, it will be just about the same as I had to pay in fed taxes last year.
Bought a new front and storm door for the house and even let someone else install it this time.
The next go-round is going to go toward a new circuit panel installation. Mine is the original (52 years old) and woefully overloaded at this point.

I hope to have it on the road this summer, after missing last summer's Due Date.
