Thanks! All nice favorites you picked out. My Dad had a LeMans that same year, but his was Gold with a black vinyl roof. My favorites were the cream colored Falcon, the pewter colored Galaxy 500, and the orange Cyclone GT, all because they were cars I had never seen in my neck of the woods before. Ya, that black Corvette is pristine, it's my best friends car. He did 95% of the resto himself. It's a true 427ci, tri-power, 4-speed car. To his credit, despite it's considerable value, he gets it out alot and is not afraid to drive it.

You're very welcome! One of the many joys of the hobby for me is getting to share my car and experiences with you guys that love classic cars, and especially Oldsmobiles.

Thanks for the photos, some great cars! My grandfather bought a green ‘68 Tempest just like the one you pictured, it went to my dad in 1970. I wish it was still around, great car.

Hm, I was going to say my favorite was the retractable, but then the Barracuda popped up. It's a toss up! Nice looking show.

Hi Mike - Ya, that is a nice Barracuda. I see that one at almost every event that is within 10 or 15-miles from me, they must be very local. They never put the hood up on that car, the engine bay must not be in real.good shape.

oldcutlass - You're welcome, and thanks for checking out the pics and your comments. I am fortunate we still have a thriving classic car culture here in the greater St. Louis area. Regardless of the size of event there always seems to be a diverse collection of cars. It is probably even more diverse than my pictures would lead you to believe because I usually gravitate towards taking pics of the mid-60's thru early 70's Muscle Cars.

So many to comment on. That later maroon Nova SS deserves some love. Looks like a nice car. I agree on the Falcon also. Wheels look right at home on that car. That gold 70 Cutlass looks really good too.

I certainly agree with all those call-outs. Fact is, for the size of event it was, overall it was a really high quality group of cars. Like you said, so many nice ones to comment on.

The best picture of the night was not taken by me though. When I got home, my son-in-law snapped this pic of my car on the street in front of my home. I had parked it there because his truck was blocking my access to the bay where I park it. Kinda glad he had me blocked, I think I'm going to blow this up and frame it!

Awesome picture. That is really good. I come from deep photography background. Your son in law nailed that one.

So about the T bucket. If any of you out there have never driven a T bucket it is different than you have ever felt. It is like driving a larger go-cart. The column comes up straight from the floor. Zero aerodynamics. Zero. Wind in your hair is a huge understatement. Cool cars. No AC for the pansies out there. Man up.
That green Nova next to it looks very well done. Beautiful car. 👍

I would take Any year Galaxy. I would take any year El Camino.

Thanks, I'll pass on the compliment. Even though my SIL is a good guy, I think a whole lot of luck was involved in that shot. To capture that beam of light from the setting sun in the picture you probably only had a window of a couple of minutes.
