Can anybody tell me what kind of car this is??

My wife saw this custom car this weekend and snapped a picture, she knew my 6 year old son would like it....he's really into cars already. Anyway, I don't know what it could be so I thought I'd see if any of you guys might know.

It kind of looks like a pontiac but also a little like a Ford with those double verticle head lights. Now I suppose the lights could be custom too and then it would be really hard to guess what kind it is. This is the only shot she has of the front or back....side shots only.

It is a 1964 Pontiac Gran Prix.

It does look like a Grand Prix....I guess the crease between the headlights is a custom made thing? (on the side of the fender)

I thought he was just parking in the correct colour-coded parking spot.

grand prix?

It is for sure a Pontiac, year sounds , right, looks long for a GP, and it doesn't have the 8 lug wheels, yes they could be changed, it could be anything from a Ventura to a Bonneville
I have always liked these cars in stock body design , I don't care for the chopped top. Maybe with a nice 421 and a 4 speed bench seat of course

The 8 lug wheels were an option which are very desirable today. The Ventura was not available in 1964 and I actually think the Gran Prix replaced it when it was introduced in 1962. I would much prefer the stock body but I bet this thing was built years ago and has been redone. A 421 and a 4-speed would be a high dollar car. A bench seat was not available on the GP.
