Amazon - points off

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Pc of crap
Display characters do not show right. Refurbished, my ****.

Send it back.

Seller wants me to pay for both shippings, plus 15% "restocking" fee plus maybe 50% if "opened"

How can you tell if it works w/o opening it?
It did not work upon arrival.

Out 2-3 hrs plus original cost [so far] plus $23 return shipping.

Go to leave review at Amazon, with photo.
It gets rejected - too long?
Fine, write a new short one.
Photos option not there. Cannot add the photo.
WTH?

Submitted 1-star review
Said review is still not there for others to be warned with.

POINTS OFF AMAZON.

that's a shame, sorry to hear it. I don't do much online shopping but the few items I have bought from Amazon have always been right, so far.

to be fair that product is sold by EXCELLENT ELECTRONICS thru Amazon, thats different than Amazon sellng it.

I will say this i had a problem w a electronic device sold thru another party on amazon. the other party stopped responding to my emails, amazon asked me if the return had been resolved, i replied it had not, the very next day the other company sent me an email w return address and the rest of the transaction ending w my acct credited went smoothly.

I've always had the best service dealing with Amazon. I'd call and see if they can help you settle this.

I hear that a refund of all? of the original purchase price has taken effect. Still out $23 to return ship it, hours of time, and the photo- review has yet to be in place to warn others. For sending an obviously defective unit, I expect them to cover the return shipping as well. And learn to fully test important features such as the display.

That's a bummer. My wife orders stuff from Amazon ALL THE TIME! Are you an Amazon Prime member? If so, that gives you additional protection.

I ordered filters for a 3M respirator once and filed a complaint after waiting about 8 days for them to arrive (they were supposed to ship Prime). The seller still hadn't even shipped them yet. I was refunded my money and bought the filters at Lowes. Of course, the ones I ordered from Amazon showed up a week or two later.

It looks like we got a full refund, so I am only out the return shipping and time.

I hope they donated the thing to a good cause rather than landfill it or sell it again.

Yes we do have Prime, and pretty much stick to that.

Another bad expereience lately from "honestseller" was a "useless box"
Did not arrive in 4 days
look into the shipping, oh it's coming from CHINA
WTH, nowhere in the ad was CHINA mentioned.
Too late to cancel the order.
I want one NOW, so ordered another.
Now I got two. Useless. Boxes.

An HONEST seller would have made very clear in the ad text that it ships FROM CHINA and therefore may take weeks to arrive.

If you would have done the A-Z guarantee first, Amazon might have have let you keep the item. Just know this for next time. I've never had an A-Z guarantee filed against me, but my brother has had one. Boy was he mad because it was on a new item and they let the buyer keep it.

I did not want the item with a bad display.

You mean keep it and get my money back? Cool, I would donate to the free/cheap store to help out low income folks

Shopping at Amazon is usually a good experience. There are always vendors that are fools though.

My wife actually ordered a character blanket (Totoro from the Disney film) for our daughter's last birthday on Amazon and it shipped from China. It took 2+ months to arrive but finally showed up in good condition. The posting did say that it would take forever.

I concur. I've had a couple issues along the way, and amazon has always been A+ is customer service for me.

Amazon (shipped and sold by Amazon) items are coming from an Amazon warehouse.

Amazon Marketplace items (similar to eBay fixed price listings) are normally shipped from a business or home business, but can also be what they call FBA, which is Fulfilled by Amazon. This is where the item is shipped to Amazon's warehouse by the seller, stays there until someone orders it, and becomes eligible for Amazon's Prime service. These particular items are picked, packed, and shipped by Amazon, although the item itself is from a third-party seller.
