Ordering from Amazon

Just thought that I would throw this out there because I keep hearing about "where can I find this or that part for my Olds..." on the different forum threads

So far, Amazon.com has had just about everything that I needed for my '71 cutlass. From weatherstipping, to brake drums, even the choke pull off for my quadrajet that I could find NO where else. And their prices, for the most part, are vastly cheaper than OPGI or some of the other sites.

They do free 2 day shipping also.

Just a head's up.

I'll give them a thumbs up as well
Not EVERYTHING can be found there, but many things.
Usually worth a quick stop to see what's available.
All for sale right now, too, none of that bid and lose later crap.

Another great feature is REVIEWS- you can see how others rate a product, from the car part to the brushless impact to the high efficiency washing machine. And you can leave your own feedback and reviews. It would be nice to be able to leave proper feedback and a review for the CAT brand "halo girdle" POS that "warm stick cyclist" sells on epay.

I just ordered new front AcDelco drums and Raybestos brakes for my cutlass and it only cost $100 delivered. That's not too shabby.

I recently ordered 4 bottles of Sta-Bil and a pair of replacement air shocks for a Caddy at VERY good prices. Being a PRIME member gives you the free 2-day shipping. Coupled with my Kindle Fire HD, I have more than saved my membership costs. The way to fly!!

We buy a lot through Amazon. They are amazing and go out of their way with customer service. Probably the best web site out there.

Everyone on here singing the praises of Amazon, and I count myself among them as I have a Kindle myself and I love it, just remember what you're saying on here the next time you're on another thread lamenting the loss of the Mom and Pop stores in your community and in small towns across America because of WalMart and the like. It's not Walmart that's taking over the world and killing off those stores, it's Amazon.

I remember when it used to be just an online bookstore.

I'm all for Mom and Pop. Yes, Walmart and in it's way Amazon are killing them off. However...it's business. Root, hog, or die!

If you can not compete, open a diner.

In a couple years we'll all be cleaning toilets for the rich man I think.

But we'll be able to buy the stuff we need off Amazon

I wish they sold GAS!

I get everything locally that I can, BUT when I can't, Amazon is one of the first places that I look, and, as stated above, it is often the ONLY place I can find things IN STOCK that I can get SOON, and not "When it comes in... maybe in a week or two..." (such as the adapter to screw a ¾" hot water valve into a ½" manifold hole, or all 4 Bilstein shocks for a B-body).

Also, if something's not available locally, and I have to get it on line, then if I order it on Amazon, I KNOW it will be there in 2 days (sometimes sooner), and that if there is any problem, they WILL generally have a replacement to me in one more day.

If I order it form some other internet company, it MAY come when they say, it MAY be the right part, it MAY be undamaged, and if I have a problem, and they MAY replace it right away, with free postage, but, in general, probably not.
