motor mount frame stand spacing

Is there different spacing for the chassis mounting bolt holes between various early a-body motor frame stands. I want to make some motor mount shims for header clearance on a 64 but I'm away from the car at the moment. Does the chevy bolt pattern match the olds pattern or are they different?

Thanks

They are different. But the early motor mount brackets for the A-body both small block and big block are the same. Do you have an Olds engine or something else your working with?

I went from a worn out 330 to a 425. Used the original small block stands and with the 2261 motor mounts after all kinds of reading on here. The hooker headers I have are tight on the driver side frame but on the passenger side they hit on the control arm. I was going to make a shim to get the engine up just a little bit but wasn't sure of the hole spacing, I have the dimensions for the sbc stand already but couldn't find the olds dimensions online.

If its just a small amount you may want to consider putting a dent in the header pipe rather than mess with the motor mount. I've had to do that in the past and for just a street driven maybe weekend at the drag strip I don't think it would make a significant difference in performance. Just a thought.

Each division's frame pads use a different bolt pattern on the crossmember. Chevy is not the same. Are the rubber motor mounts new? Old ones can sag, causing fitment problems.

Yes they are brand new anchor 2261 mounts. Interestingly what I took off the old motor were worn out 2286 which were ford parts but cited as something slightly taller then the 2261’s by a member on this board.

First I've ever heard of this

Joe it actually came from your motor mount application thread. I read it there before my motor swap and was surprised that was the mount on my 330 I removed.
