Where to find new frame rails?

I'm currently in the early stages of restoring a 1983 Cutlass Supreme. The entire frame is rusted out from front to back and needs to be replaced. So far I haven't found anywhere that sells new frames. I noticed that on many other frame-off restorations people start with whole new frames, so they must be out there. All I found was a guy who build the back 1/3 of the frame rails. Can anyone tell me where I can find replacement frames? Thanks!

The rear frame rails are the most rust-prone, which is why those are repro'ed. No one makes a complete repro frame for these cars. You'll need to find a solid used one.

I can understand enthusiam in any car, and i can understand wanting so save them, but if the frame is really that bad, im guessing the car isnt in much better condition. You might want to try and salvage it for parts, and pick up another thats in nicer condition, you will save money in the long run with one in better off condition. If thats not what you would prefer, that cool too, just trying to help a little. GOOD LUCK MAN !

2 door or 4 door? I believe the frames are different.
They probably made 200,000 of those cars just in 83. Finding another should be no problem. You may be able to use a grand prix or regal frame as well.

Actually, except for the El Camino, all 78-88 G-body cars used the same wheelbase. There are some small differences in the rear body mounts for the wagon, but 2dr and 4dr frames are the same. Note that the early frames used slightly different spindles and the frames made prior to the 200-4R don't have the mounting provisions for putting the crossmember that far back. Any G-body frame from 83-88 will swap.
