Bucket Seat Rails Question

I have a 72 Cutlass 2 Dr Hardtop with a split bench seat. I am converting to Bucket Seats with a Center Console (Dual Gate Shifter). The rails weren't attached to the seats when I bought them. I am not sure which one goes on the Driver's Side. One of the rails looks like it has an extension (is longer than the other), I am not sure if it came this way other the previous owner was tall and had it added. Probably a stupid question, lol. But any help would be appreciated..

I just reinstalled bucket seats back in my car this week. Mine is a bench seat car too and the buckets were installed by the previous owner. What a mess. I spent a lot of time redoing it correctly. You probably know but you need the floor brackets for the buckets and the console. You can buy repos of these through the usual places. I got mine from The Parts Place. The seat brackets next to the floor hump have to be welded in. I think the different length in your rails is due to the position of the slide or inner piece. This moves back and forth like a drawer slide.
I installed the rails on the seats and then made a cardboard template of the bolt hole locations to locate the location of the new brackets on the floors.
Lining up the console and getting the shifter cable the right length is another story. The shifter bolts to the floor and the console bolts to the shifter. I could not find any info with measurements on this so I had a LOT of trial and error fitting. Like i said the PO did a hacked up job on mine and it was really not even bolted in.
Good luck and Let me know if I can you additional info

Yeah, I have all the brackets and was hoping to put the bucket seats floor brackets back about 1 inch because I'm pretty tall..I am still not sure which ones are the driver's side rails.. I have all the brackets and cable for the shiftter, which I think the dual gate cable is about 30" inches in overall length, where the regular cable is about 27" long. Here is a link I found on this website:

The tracks are oriented with the single hole foot to the front. The double hole foot to the rear.

The drivers seat should have the adjustment lever on the drivers side.

The extensions someone added on there are to allow you to bolt the track to the seat farther forward or backwards (can't recall exactly) which allows teh seat to slide back farther. I don't know how safe those are, you might consider using the original holes first.
