All depends,I could pull the wheels when I was running 12.50s.....Decent built 455 and a good converter and a set of gears .....Left front wheelys about 3-4 inches,Added some nitrous later and got some real dandys but not on tape.....any kind of HP over around 400HP and up will over power a stock type suspension and result in what I have,Left front up.... passenger side firmly planted on the ground.....as seen here > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7GO21D7r1E

and here at the .37 second mark http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7GO21D7r1E

Its all about the combo is I guess what Iam saying......
Or its late and Iam tired

Just try and avoid doing stuff like this. It's rather hard on suspension components.

Hey guys, thanks.BIGJER,whats your car 60'in?[on motor]NO nitrious for me,OLDS parts ai'nt cheap.I've improved the suspension, boxed lower relocated arms, adj. uppers,3-way shocks all around, one coil off frt springs.10.50 /28 slicks.Just order my coilspring bags, there still in the box, though. My best 60' is 1.62,usally a little slower.Moderately built 461,400,w/3.73 locker.2200 stall.Acually, i feel that wheelies are a waste of time[power could be used to move car forward]But i'd still love to have a photo of it ,or even better ,a vidio!By the way ,i love watching your videos,Thanks again,What else should i try? To live a DREAM? Later,BO

From personal experiences, it seems like you need to be getting 60' times around 1.55 or better, to catch air.

Get a good converter that stalls around 3000-3300, enough tire to get traction, and you'll probably be there.

Thanks,Yeah, at the time i bought the converter,i did'nt know much about them, still don't really, but now i relize a little more stall would still have been streetable. On a limited bases, anyhow.I've got a pretty mild cam now, can't remember exactly.Around 484"lift.I've bought a 512/523,and a set of iron"C" heads[Running slightly ported GA's }I've ported and polished one, need to get back on it,and finish. So I,m working on a better combo.I've also have the adj. roller rockers.Still need all the other head parts[spring s ,valves,ect...]So then i,ll need the better converter.BAM!! Add another $400.GOOD NEWS!My son needs the converter i have now ,so that will work out,HA.Thanks again,BO
