70 washer fluid reservoir location

My convertible has always had the windshield washer reservoir on drivers side of the car. Per the assmebly manual all 455s have it relocated to the passenger side. I never really looked until last night but there never were any holes for it drilled on the passenger side. I think I will keep it mounted to the driver's side. Although wrong per the assembly manual if it was ever located on the passenger side I would see the mounting holes. What do you all think, leave it as is or put it where it should be.

Notice no holes, these are original (at least by looks and wear)
pic is a little grainy (camera phone at night) and defaults to a side view, sorry

My personal opinion is that, unless you come across some clear-cut evidence that it was mounted on the passenger side at one time, leave it where it is!

X2 with what Randy said. My 72 has the WW reservoir on the drivers side too. It doesn't have AC.
