"Bare Steel" paint recommendations

I recently had my VC gas tank repaired and sealed, being a CA car it was still pretty shiny (except for the bottom area) when I pulled it out. But after it was "boiled" out, it's got a dull look to it. Looking for recommendations for a rattle can paint to make it look close to new. I think the same paint could be used for things like the horn relay and such. A few weeks back I was searching for gas tank liners and remember seeing a picture of a painted tank (a coupe or sedan, not a wagon) but darned if I can find it now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is what I painted my gas tank with years ago after I lined the inside. It brushed on great. FWIW, they do have rattle cans too:

3I have used Rustoleum Dark Steel spray cans on my transmission pan and driveshaft. I was pleasantly surprised as to the results.

X2. It looks great and authentic, but it takes an unusually long time to dry.

That rattle can paint Brian posted does look nice!

The brush on paint I posted earlier does have a bit of a textured finish to it.

Thanks for the replies! Olds64 that was your car that I saw, I did find the post, it was back in April. https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...-color-134267/
From that post another suggestion is the Eastwood Tank Tone. Right now I'm leaning toward the Tank Tone. Thanks again!

X4^^ I've used the Rustoleum Dark Steel as well with good results. I let it dry overnight, then baked in my oven for 30-60min at 200 degrees. Turn off the oven and leave it inside until it cools down to where you can handle it without gloves. I've also used PlastiKote Rebuilders Cast #285. for cast iron parts like master cylinders. It doesn't have the metalic flakes like the Rustoleum so it's less shiny more of a matte finish.
