67 Cutlass JGC Steering Swap
67 Cutlass JGC Steering Swap
Hello forum! I used to be active on here a couple years ago and then life happened, Now resuming project.
Decided to try the Grand Cherokee steering box swap. Bought a brand new Lares 11353 steering gear and 200 coupler from Rockauto. Got box centered and attached coupler. Was ready to install the box and then realized the pins and bolts of the coupler did not line up with the steering rod. Everything needs to be rotated 90 degrees. Do I have the proper coupler? Or am I now faced with loosening and rotating the rod 90 degrees, while keeping the steering wheel in place? Is it easy? I really don’t want to open up another can of worms by making further adjustments upstream from the coupler.
Thoughts?
