66 cutlass convertible frame off

66 cutlass convertible frame off

I need a little advise on taking the body off my 66 cutlass convertible.do I need to weld bracing in the doors area to keep body from flexing.i just want to remove the frame to sand blast and paint.thanks for your help guys

Although I have seen convertibles on a rotisserie without bracing it's not something I would do.

Years ago when my 66 Chevelle vert was off the frame the shop it was at bolted a brace from the hinge plate to the striker. Worked fine.
