Wanted: 1970-71 442 Convertible

I am looking for a project car with little or no rust on the floorboards or in the trunk, can be rust elsewhere. I want a 1970-1971 442 convertible, it does not have to be a numbers matching car. It does have to have the 455 and the W-25 ram air hood. Would like bucket seats and 4-speed, but not a must.

My Dad used to own a '71 and I have fond memories of that car.

I've noticed a lot have people have viewed my ad, but have seen no replies. Am I asking for something too rare or specific?
Let me know the truth guys, I can take it!

I think if you hit craigslist hard and get past the scammers you can find what you want. Use searctemptrest.com . Or illinois trader and rv which is free . I have seen a few good olds cars in there. I'll keep an eye out for ya.

Most of the ads are old and expired by now, but here is a list of the 1971 442s I've seen for sale around the country. At least you can use it to get an idea how far your money might go.

Thanks for helping out everyone. I knew about oldscentral, but not about those other trade and search sites. I will check those regularly as well!

What you are asking for is somewhat rare... They made 549 4 speed convertibles in 1970 and 183 of them in 1971.

Just wondered what kind of budget you are working with?

From what I've been able to find so far, I think 10-15k is fair for a project car in good shape. By good shape I mean: has all the parts, some rust on the panels (surface only in trunk or on floor), frame in good shape, engine in running order but not necessarily rebuilt, convertible top in any shape.
As Mr442 mentioned, the 4-speed is rare, so this is not required.
