I use one of those dual snorkle air cleaner bases under my OAI flapper. I know it's not correct, but it's different and I liked it. They seem pretty rare, I've only seen three in 25 years. Good thing it's on the other side of the country, I'd be tempted to look at it.

And i agree, people have really pessimistic views on restorability these days

Wish it was closer to me, id buy it, do some quick patching/sanding, paint it, and drive it as is while building a fresh drivetrain for it

LOL rust bucket :-S my gosh these people must be comparing this to something that is off the lot. It is 40 years old and weathered. I see 6-7 year old Mazdas with more rust

Believe me this one is tempting but I have no storage to keep projects. Would have to rent a storage unit and hide it.
