Beautiful car. I love the colors. One of my favorite color combinations. I love white interior cars. Sure looks well documented. Very interesting car. Bench seat four speed W car with factory rear window defog and a power antenna. Coupe even.
I believe that the broadcast cards do not show W-30 or W-31 in 1968-1969 as that card was generated by Fisher Body. Since no extra emblems over and above the Std Cutlass or 442 emblems etc then no denotation on the card. You would need a line sheet, window sticker or POP in '68 for factory docs.

Thanks for the info. White interior looks great. I wish sellers would just be straight up from the start. That's what make people question. I would and will never buy a high dollar car without before pictures. Especially hard to verify cars. Why wouldn't you have before pictures?

So what would MSRP been of this W31?
3.91 posi? Based on Radiator top plate
W-Machine option
AM-FM radio
4 speed transmission
Trunk Light
N34 Steering Wheel?
SSIs ( Has clips holding the lug wrench)?
None of this is broken down on the dealer invoice.
Chesrown sold thousands of 442s - a small percentage were W30
missing "D" heads & never heard answers to the hard questions - did this 22K mile original owner 442 have a date correct W30 carburetor and/or W30 distributor when found?

a bunch of those OPTIONS have been added, at least $300 additional
- the MSRP would've been close to $3700, with shipping, based on the "as found" pictures ( a 3.91 4-speed 442 is only ~$20 cheaper than a 3.91 4-speed W30 442 )
- - sounds like a late August discounted sale of a March built car after almost 5-months on the lot (P-O-P shows 15 miles 8/30/69) ***** "LABOR DAY WEEKEND SALES SPECTACULAR"
- - - appears to be discounted to $3,365.38 plus 4% sales tax for a nice round $3,500 sale price - (around a $350 discount)

I too am curious. I am not saying that this car isn't a factory W car. I have no clue. When things get changed it raises more questions. To have early before pictures would prove beyond a doubt. I always question why there are zero ZERO before pictures. Not just this car but so many. The early under hood shots of this particular car look very legitimate. If I had a rare car like this is trying to present itself as a true whatever I wouldn't change one thing. That's what makes a unique car a unique car.
So was this engine "restored" and balanced to true W-30 specs?

I didn't realize that this was the same car. I checked it out @ MCACN and it was very well done. Kool display with the graphics. The Blue looks closer to Original color in the most current pictures.
It sold at auburn auction for 80 k the buyer add 10 percent fees new tires and rims plus shipping 90 k sold at Scottsdale for 76 k that seller took a bath. the new dealer is trying to profit on it.

Crazy that no one is holding on to it. Very nicely done restoration too!
Because 99.9 percent of people aren't buying cars for the love of the car anymore. They are just throwing money and could care less about the soul of the car.
