Reasonable?

Does anyone know of a chrome shop that has reasonable prices?
I had Ogden chrome do the bumpers on my 67 442 approx 5-6 years ago.
They charged $1200 for both.
Called them today for bumpers on a 71 Buick GS. the GS bumpers
are approximately the same size as the Olds.
$1750 per bumper!!!
Thats crazy! I told the guy no need to keep talking, we are just wasting time now.
I think since they got on TV with Kindig their prices went up!
$1750.PER BUMPER!!!

I've found TriCity Plating to be among the more reasonable for bumpers.

Well Tri City just told me $1500 for both bumpers, 4-6 week turnaround.
That sure beats $1750 per bumper.

Cool, they don't charge extra for severe straightening if required, at least they didn't for me when I gave them a rear 67 Cutlass bumper I thought was too bent and I would have tossed it.

I can vouch for tri city, they did my 70 rear bumper a couple yrs ago 650 plus shipping. Id say 8-9 out of 10 for quality.

Look up Electro Plating in El Paso, Texas.
1040 Hawkins Blvd
El Paso, TX 79915
Suspect they are significantly less than the numbers thrown out here.
11 five star ratings on Google. 1 negative on YP - yellow pages. Never used them - but it might be cheaper, even with the shipping.

I talked to El Paso Plating a couple of months ago, $425 per bumper. Up untill this last January I had a deal going with The Bumper Shop owner in LA for $330 per bumper, had around 30 bumpers done over the last 8 years, until his business closed and he ripped me off. Good driver quality and my own personal bumpers they did are still in good shape.
