Being in customer service for umpteen years in the USPS I have heard countless complaints, overwhelmingly concerning my employees. Very seldom and I mean it is rare that I received a compliment directed towards one of my peeps, just the way it goes I guess. Well today I wish to recognize a private seller who is a member on this site for his service to his customers. I have dealt with him on several occasions and he has been upfront & straightforward with his descriptions, pricing, and advice concerning my project. Maybe there should be a forum dedicated to the vendors that make our pursuit of our hobby possible. If not perhaps we should take the time to acknowledge their contributions to our campaign, seeing they travel across this vast country to bring us treasures we are incapable of doing for ourselves. Anyway the seller in question is Pat, he goes by the call sign Deaddds. If you have the opportunity to do business with him I'm sure you will satisfied. Well breaks over, time I went back to work. - Joe
Joe can't agree with you more. To often were more than willing to complain and rarely give complement to the good. I usually go out of my way to do this.
For example. I have recently purchased a Libman driveway broom and Bemis slow close toilet seat from two separate establishments. Both products were made in the USA and were cheaper than the chineasium junk at home deep hole. I sent emails to both thanking them for the high-quality product AND for keeping it here in the USA. And yes, I checked not just "assembled" but manufactured in the USA.

This may not be the place for it, but you brought it up. I use the U.S. Postal Service ALL the time, and, 99% of the time, I have no problems. But that other 1% of the time, the post office comes across as nothing more than a faceless, bureaucratic behemoth that couldn't care less about the poor service and problems it can cause its customers at times. I'm no crackpot nor chronic complainer. My complaints are legitimate. I would think any postal employee would be interested in hearing them IF they truly cared about customer service. If you'd care to hear them, let me know.
To further the idea Fed Ex and UPS are no different when it comes to customer complaints. We use all carriers at where I work. Just got into it with UPS when they will not pay for a lost item sighting not enough tape and then they have nerve to tell me that they discarded the box that the part was in! I told them that I had the part wire tagged with a business card attached to the item in question with my business name phone# and e-mail address to make it easy to find.
What make me furious, was a year ago we one of our boxes from a vendor re-taped and when I opened it, we had our parts plus $1500 worth of snap on tools in that same box. So being the noble honest guy, I reported it the local UPS depot and they said give it to the driver so we find the true owner.
The USPS is the best service in this country. I use them every chance I get. They are under contract to deliver packages in remote areas for UPS and FedEx.
For the most part, USPS provides good service for me. Now if the route person could consistently get the mail in the right box on the right street I could give them 5 stars.
I've had no problems w USPS service. My carrier brings packages up my long driveway when needed, and the lady at the office is always pleasant and efficient. Their www tho could be improved. When looking for a price quote they list the most expensive options first, but to uncover some more cost effective methods requires additional clicks. If one is not invested in the process they may stop right there and pursue cheaper methods thru another carrier.
i had one issue w fedex, I was shipped a package that arrived as a ripped open box w two alloy motorcycle rims and no packing. One rim was damaged, I contacted the seller who said they were properly packed and in good condition when shipped. Thru the multiple times I contacted fedex, one person said IDK why they're giving you a hard time there is a note attached to this track number that says it fell off the fork truck and was run over and repacked!!! I must have been on the phone w them 6 times over that and if the one person hadn't mentioned fedex dogged the package I may still be on the phone w them today!!!
One of my peeves about the website is this. What's the purpose of clicking that little "I didn't receive this mailpiece" box on the lower left of each mailpiece on the "informed delivery" page? In my experience, zilch. There HAVE been mailpieces not received, I've clicked on the box, and I never hear anything from the post office. So what's the point?
