Brake Fluid Chg.

Will someone please tell me the best way to clean and flush all the brake fluid from the system. It looks black and has been in the system sence 1975. and has been in storage for a long time. I would like to replace it all with clean and new fluid. Andy

The way I have done this is:
- Buy enough silicone/vinyl tubing to reach each bleeder and a (2) 3 way adapters

- Cut the tubing so that a tube runs from the FL and FR bleeders into the 3 way about center point of the car. do the same for the rear.
- take a gallon milk jug and place 2 holes about half way to 3/4 way up or a Mason jar and place holes in the lid
- feed silicone lines from the 3 ways into the holes
- remove master cylinder cover
- crack all bleeder lines
- Stand by master cylinder and keep filling master cylinder with new fluid while checking the milk jug
- Repeat as necessary

I like it, and I'll add that if you put some fluid in the milk jug/mason jar, enough to cover the bottom of the hoses, you can pump the pedal a couple times, check and fill master, repeat. Just make sure the lid is on the master BEFORE pumping, could make a total mess.
