Emergency Brake diagram 67 Cutlass
Does anyone have a diagram or pictures of how the emergency brake cables attach underneath a 67 cutlass convertible? Any info would be appreciated.

The emergency brake cable is hooked up the same in any 67 Olds Cutlass/442. The only difference is the length of the main cable. This can be shortened if yours is too long by getting a splice connector. These are commonly available at the hardware store in the garage door cable section. If you go from a 4 speed or a jetaway to a th400 the crossmember is moved back and then the cable needs to be shorter. There is still the heavy metal hook on the crossmember towards the passenger side and the hook up to the cable that goes up to the pedal assembly, then the two small wire type hooks that hook into the floor supports to keep it spread apart, then it hooks up the the cables to the backing plates. a big U actually. If you do not have the correct hooks it is hard and if the cable is too long or too short it is hard. I can supply the hooks. You can get new cable at the hardware store.

When changing to a T400 as stated above, the xmember moves rearward approximately 6 inches. There are 2 routes you can take, 1 replace the intermediate cable with one for a T400 transmission. Or 2, install a shorter hardened hook on the passenger side and take up the remaining slack in the adjustment (some frown on this option). #2 requires some creativity and #1 requires you to whip out your checkbook. I chose #2, and its been working for 4 years now.

To answer the OP's question, the diagram is in your Chassis Service Manual in the chapter on brakes. You can also find it with a very brief Google search (hint: Chevelle is the same).
To correct the information in this post, both the front and intermediate ebrake cables are different for the TH400 vs other transmissions. Due to the rearward crossmember location, the front cable (the one that connects to the pedal and has the threaded adjuster) is longer and the intermediate cable that loops around is shorter. There are actually four different intermediate cables for the 1967 cars, since the VC had a different wheelbase (120") as compared to all other body styles (115").
