I have a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertable and the only real problem is that the trunk weatherstrip channel where the Trunk latch welds to is badly rusted. I can find every other part for this car but I cannot find this, can anyone help before I go out and fabricate my own.

Wow - that is rotted for sure... Perhaps someone on this list with a parts car might be able to cut out a usable section and ship it. Of course, finding one in good shape may be an issue. Post a wanted request in the parts wanted section and see what happens!

 

Looks very familiar, I had the same issue on my 71 convertible, I was lucky enough to find someone locally that had a good used trunk channel.
