Hi, I have decided to restore my 1984 Olds 98 4 door sedan. I want to replace my vinyl roof and need any and all information to do so as I understand the rear window is tricky. Also where do I find the information on the parts codes ID.

To start you will want to get a Factory Service Manual and Chassis Service Manual for your Olds. The CSM has directions on how to properly remove the vinyl top.

Yes I have body work before, just need instructions on proper steps when removing roof. Where would you recommend to get vinyl replacement kit from?

I'm not sure where to get a vinyl replacement kit. I bought trim for my 71 98 to install a vinyl top but I've never installed it. In fact, if I ever installed a vinyl top I would leave it to the experts. Knowing my luck I would get the seam down the center of the vinyl crooked.
