Rear bumper alignment questions

Ok, took off the old bumper without looking for a reference point or measuring. So, now I got the new bumper in place, I am trying to figure out how high the bumper should go. Left and right alignment is pretty straightforward. But, the up/down and tilt of the bumper is got me scratching my head.

Do I basically, center it and call it good? Or do I go off of the rear fender gap and make that even as it relates to the top/bottom and tilt in/out?

Any pointers would be helpful.

Suggest you get an assembly manual. In there you will find the margin allowances (gap) allowance. I will look in my 70 assembly later this weekend, I amsure they are the same , but hopfullysomeone will help you out or you can get yourself that assembly manual. they are worth it
