Hi, just got this w-30. Its in the shop getting ready for paint!
The original color in sherwood green,
The car has black interior..Id love to have black stripes. But dont know if there even noticable on the dark green. Ive scene some pics on the net. But most seem to have the white stripes.

I think it would look great with black stripes...every one's telling me no. And to do the white.

The default color for Sherwood Green was white stripes, but black would be correct as well.

I kinda have this idea that you need to understand where people are coming from when you talk about color, as some people have different perceptions. For example, if someone thinks Saffron + green interior don't match, perhaps you shouldn't attach so much weight on their opinion. Likewise, there are some who will feel a black interior requires black stripes, but that's also not true because black and white will match anything, and having a black interior/white stripes is not unusual.

Hence, sometimes when everyone is telling you something, it's best to consider running the other way.

 

There might be a reason for that...

 

I'd vote for gold instead of white.

 

I am with Joe on this one, #55 Galleon gold. That should pop on the Sherwood.

The factory gold stripe color was actually different from Galleon Gold. The PPG paint code for the stripe was 23197 (used in 1969 and 1970).

 

Well we have all seen the yellow and red stripe 70. Not my favorite combo but it's different. Green and a red stripe wouldn't be all that bad. Give it a moment to sink in.

 

My 70 W-30 post coupe is Sherwood green with black stripes. It has a black vinyl top and black interior. It looks awesome!
