Trunk Lock Rod

The trunk lock was missing on my 71 Cutlass Supreme convertible when I bought it. I purchased a replacement lock but the rod is a standard straight blank. Does anyone have a correct rod for sale or even a photo of a rod would work as a guide to bend mine. I tried to guess and cant get it to work. Its on a heck of an angle.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi Dan
Here's one I pulled from a 1971 Cutlass 4 door, so it may not be perfect but I think it should be pretty close to the correct one. I know the angle to the side looks pretty extreme, I'm not sure if it came out that way or if it got bent after being removed. I hope the pictures help, but if not your welcome to this one. It is kinda crusty though. John

It would be tough to duplicate that with the cheesy blank they gave me. I will send you a PM. Thanks!

Look through the lock hole to see where the rod goes--the slot in the latch. That will tell you something about what bend/s are needed in the rod.
