68 cutlass trunk lock rod

on our latest 68 build (4th in a row, only one more to do..... thank god) we're installing a vaccuum trunk release on it. but, i need the correct trunk lock rod for it. i don't have a pic of one, but it's a 2 piece design with the swivel in the center. if you have one you could spare, please let me know.

I'll let either one of you guys know if I decide not to put mine on in a few weeks. Got everything down to an NOS actuator. I do believe Parts Place does sell the two piece deal with the spring. Just got to hunt for it.

edit, I hunted

part number tr9924f

They look like they are different lengths. Do you know that the Parts Place one fits?

It's thepartsplaceinc.com

If that doesn't work, just google it.

It is the wrong one for a 68 cutlass, the one side is way to long, but maybe if you are a good welder you could cut it too the correct size and weld it back together. That is what I am considering doing as I have been looking for a proper 68 one for ten years now.
