Looking for good body shop Ontario CANADA
Just finishing up restoration on my 1968 Cutlass S coupe, about to start my hurst but not happy with the body shop I was working with. Can anyone suggest a good reputable paint/body shop in Ontario Canada, I live around Toronto but can go anywhere. I need a place that can properly do the Hurst olds paint scheme and paint the pin striping etc thanks

Hi, and welcome to C.O.
EDIT: Removed incorrect info. Just saw you're looking for engine AND body work. Sorry bout dat! Anyway - please do add yourself to the map and check out who's close to you.
There are quite a few members of C.O. in Ontario. You can check them out on the Classic Oldsmobile Map (and add yourself in too) http://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=149866
Hope you find the quality you're looking for in the body shop. Be prepared for the shock of how much it will cost.

Me too
Hey 69 Hurst Olds....I'm in the same boat pretty much. I live just east of Oshawa and am in the middle of a 72 442 project.
Just went to Autofest a couple weekends back - only saw one 72 442 did you go?
I dont know where in the GTA you are but I can tell you that Ive narrowed down my shop search substantially - that is to say that most of them told me they werent interested! They prefer insurance work.
I was going to check Old Autos the newspaper - which might hint at some shops nearby or guys interested in this type work. I believe they have a website too. I think I am taking mine to a place called Branco's in Oshawa but I was between him and J&M Restorations in Bowmanville.
J&M does lots of muscle cars but also insurance work to pay the bills. He has a great reputation but I got tired of chasing him down to do my car so I moved on. The sticker shock also drove me away....8,000 and keep another 2,000 on hand just in case. Branco's wants 5,500 complete which seems more like it if you ask me....
Let me know how you make out.

I live in Port Perry and had my car done at Vette works in Port Perry.
You can check out my car in the major builds. From my experience you get what you pay for. They are doing a 71 cutlass convertible right now. I was at Auto fest parked with a 70 w30 from Pensilvania and a 71 w30 from Toronto. If I can be of any help just ask.

I had my convert painted at Parliament's in Alliston and they also repaired and painted my '57 98 after I was attacked by a deer near Minesing...I am quite pleased with the final results, although I had to make some small re-adjustments on both cars...
