BOLTING DUAL GATE TO TRANS TUNNEL

I'm converting a factory column shift car to a Dual Gate with a console. Did the factory floor shifter, either Dual Gate or regular, bolt to the floor with a large sheet metal fastener, or was it a bolt with a nut welded in the underside of the transmission tunnel. Thank you so much for any experience with this!

They use a mounting bracket you can order a replacement. At Year One their about 105 bucks. You might also try the Parts Place.

Dual Gate Hold down fasteners

It's been a few years since I pulled one from the floorboard, but I'm 99% sure it was sheetmetal type screws. Very similar to the ones that hold the bolt on center caps on SSII wheels. John

Ok yes if it already has the bracket on it and than use sheet metal screws. If got the complete shifter than it does.
