Body Glue????
I have never used this stuff and was wondering what your guys thoughts were on it
I`m thinking it might be a better seal on my rear filler panel where it meets the sail panel area? then use some seam sealer over that?
or just spot weld the whole panel in
Still plan on spot welding the front and rear of the panel

When you're happy with the fit up of the panel, clamp it under the sail panels in several spots and weld up the holes from drilling/grinding the factory welds.
Get a spray can of weldable primer and spray the hidden areas before welding. Welding supply store or auto paint shop should have it.
Right or wrong, that's how I did it.
Besides, I didn't know body glue existed. Is it some kind of epoxy?
I haven't seam sealed the visible joints yet but the way I understand, it gets sealed after primer and before paint.

I`ve been reading up on panel Glue or adhesive... it seems to be really good stuff but since I have never used it I thought for that one paticular area it might work better
My panel is dead on now.. I had to take a small 1/8 out of the rear gutter channel . It seems it was rocking in the center of the gutter
only bugger for me is I now have to fab up an upper section of gutter channel right on the corners since mine didn`t have them
I used my flat sheet metal visegrips along the sail panel area... brought everything dead tight with 3 per side

not sure on the stuff your using, but look up sikaflex, I think its a german product, used basically to 'glue' alot of the modern cars together, I was looking at a newish bmw at a panel school I was doing a course at and the guy was telling me they teach the apprentices how to 'glue' the chassis rails back together with this stuff.
it sets with the moister in the air, apparently fantastic stuff and as strong as a weld.
as for your application, I can't say, but look into it, it might be what you need. I have some to use to glue a fibreglass A model floppy body to the steel frame I have made, just haven't done it yet. use to use bog, going to give the sikaflex a go.

Wes- talk to Dave over on the TCNW site- he has done quite a bit on his car using the panel adhesive- And BrettD used the adhesive in the exahst same way you are planning on your filler panel when he did the filler on his 66 last fall.
There are a ton of pics of bretts filler project over on TC in the bodyshop forum. Very useful.

I agree its good stuff, you will need a two part gun and the mixing tips but the stuff holds like a weld and seals the seams, also it was reccomended to me to use the slower setting stuff as it's a little more forgiving to get your panels lined up and clamped in time(at least for a rookie like myself.) I think I still have some out in the garage from when I was working on my truck I'll check the brand for you it worked out great but I'm sure they all probably do.
