68 Cutlass Wheel Paint

I'm getting my SSII wheels sand blasted. Can anyone recommend a good aerosol primer to apply before I refinish with the black in the back and OE grey. I plan on outlining the 5 slots with a silver marking pen. I have the chrome bezels from another project, but I'm trying to go back original. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Match the primer to what the top coat is.
Your local paint & body supply should be able to guide you on this, even with spray bombs. Dissimilar products and bad prep are a recipe for disaster.

Pick up some PrepSol to wipe down the wheels or lacquer or enamel thinner (depending on the paint product).

I use old skool paint guns, not even HVLP. I will run lacquer thinner through the gun and spray down the object, then switch to paint after the thinner flashes off.
