1965 442 engine mounts, advice, please
I'm building my 400C.I. into a 442C.I. I expect that this engine will make 1.1-1.2 H.P. per cube. I've checked the site for information regarding mounts and have gone to Summit looking for mounts, I find only find 2 listings for inexpensive stock mounts, the Anchor industries 2328, and another. Anchor was suggested as a brand on a thread here, so I'll go with that brand. My question is will this be adequate for my anticipated power (around 500hp). I've looked for straps or just upgraded mounts, no luck. Can anyone give me some advice on this issue, I'd hate to pull the engine loose banging a hard shift, (I'm a 4spd.). THANKS

Thanks Joe, I actually think that in the previous thread in the I saw on this site, you commented, and suggested the #2261, I got #2328 from Summit, but I'll believe you. If I understand what you've said, your recommending a solid mount from a specialty Olds. vender, like Dick Miller. Are there other Olds. venders whom sell a solid mount replacement, Millers site is not responding tonight, I'll try someone else if you tell me who. I think I'd be happier with a solid mount, at least on the drivers side, I will be making some power. Have I got it right?

I just got to Millers site using the link above he's saying race only and wants you to buy his rubber mount for the passengers side also. His description is for 1970-1972 455 and 1978-1985 307-350N-455 engines which doesn't include my 65? Further help Please

I will be using these mounts when the engine is dynoed. The shop I'm working in usually builds really big offshore marine engines , turbos and blown, making really big numbers, we're going to have to rig my engine to his dyno, that will be the first test of anything I buy. I don't want to drop the engine on the floor either. The Stuska (dyno) mount kit is $750. so we're trying to engineer around that cost
