Smile 455 rebuild need specs

Hello my name is Joerg from Germany,
I'm new here and need some help from people who know more than me about this 455 engine.
I want to rebuild an 1971 455 out of an 98.
Therefore I need the original specs of the crank and the allowed specs within standard size (bearings) of main's and rod's journals.
And I plan to drill a hole in the crank for a pilot bearing because perhaps I want later install an manual transmission.
Therefor I need the dimension of the hole.

I plant to use the Edelbrock alu. heads to get more power.

Which pistons work good and are not to expensive to get around 10:1 compression.

And I want to install an roller cam which is good until 6000 rpm without losing low end torque which one would be o good choice.

I' bought oilresistors where I should use them (in which oil holes) for an street engine which has to show what it can (HV Oilpump and 8 qt oilpan I've also)

I hope that someone can help me out engine should go in the machine shop in 2 weeks.

Greetings from Germany Jörg

Welcome Jörg from a fellow German
There are a lot of great knowledgeable guys on here and I'm sure you will find the information you are searching for!
Take a look at the Big Block section on this site, I guess there are several 455 builds described, with cam specs and recommendations and everything else you need! Sometimes with dyno-numbers
Good luck!

Agreed, you'll find plenty of info here. Check out some of my builds and dyno sessions, they may be of some help.
I also offer custom grind cams, both flat tappet and roller.
Thanks
