Rebuilt 455 video

Just a short drive by. Video quality not up to par but the sound is there.

Here's a link to the build.

A friend was in my backyard and the camera didn't know what to focus on. Got to record a better vid. Always curious what the car sounded like from the outside.

Oh man this is ironic! I found your video "1967 Olds 442 with 455" and i loved it, watched it again and again cause its pretty much exactly the same build i was planning for my 455 only yours was bored out and mine would be stock. I had no idea you had a profile here! Thats awesome haha. Do you have any power specs on it? Hows the Voodoo cam? Thats the main thing i was looking for when i found your video, wanted to know a general idea of what my car might sound like with the 60805 cam. Also is this manual or auto?

The video you mention is before I had spun a rod bearing. I've rebuilt since then using the same parts except for Harland Sharp rockers with 1.7:1 ratio which bumps the lift of the cam. The other videos are of the rebuild. I don't have any power specs, engine wasn't dyno'd. Guesstimate 480ish hp and 500 tq maybe. The car is an automatic and I removed the power brakes and steering just to make things less complicated. I like the cam for sure. Good luck with yours. I had watched a video from another Olds guy that turned me on to the SpinTech mufflers.

Yes, ofcourse the car sounds great, but I want to thank you for your time in service to our country. I did 2 tours, from just prior to the end of Viet Nam. Was w/ the 1/17th. Air Cav, 82d Airborne Div.. I can appreciate your job and service. I think the car is a good representation/symbol of your service. Thanks again.

Thats awesome, crazy mean sounding car especially while running an auto with a full exhaust. Im still considering that cam, might go a step or so smaller though for the torque. sounds awesome. You should post a video of it ideling while its in drive
