Got '67 4-4-2 and vacuum lines were all a mess and I am trying to put back correctly. It has correct q-jet and I see 4 ports on the front of the carb. I know the big one goes to the PCV valve on valve cover. I see the one for the choke pull-off. But where does the vacuum advance hose attach? To the 3/16" port or to the 1/4"? but then what goes to the remaining port once the advance is hooked up? The brake booster and the reservoir ball at firewall are each connected to the manifold. it has no A/C. It has open round air cleaner not snorkel type. It does have trunk release button in glove box and it gets it vacuum from that ball at firewall and the release works fine after fixing the hose under rear seat. Thanks
This may or may not be correct for your 442 with a 400 engine, but its a place to start. Hopefully its close enough that others can work off these photos and tell you the correct locations. This is on a survivor car with low miles, at least it was until I let it sit and clearly the mice and spiders have moved in! Its a 1967 4 door with a 330 4bbl and automatic transmission.
These first two photos are an overview of the front of the carburetor.
The correct vacuum hose routing depends on trans, equipment, and CA or non-CA emissions. The factory Chassis Service Manual shows ALL the routing options. Read it.
