Quadrajet carb???

Got a 4 brrl intake manifold finally for the 455, now i need a carb. What quadrajet works with it. It has the stove pipe setup. Casting number is 17030561. So through google, it was made from 1976-79, 4bbrl, from a pontiac with a manual trans. Will this work on my 4brrl intake manifold?

The pontiac linkage will probably hit your egr boss. It might not work unless you cut and weld the linkage a little bit. If you have room for a carb spacer, you can make it work.

It would help to know what year Olds you're working on...if it's 70-72 any Qjet starting with "704" ie:7041250 should work with your manifold and throttle cable.

im working on a 70 delta 88, got the intake manifold from a 70, i think, 98 w/455. Found a carb. Serial number is 7044502. I believe its a rochester 4mv, whatever that means. OK did some more research, the carb could've came off a 74 Chev /GMC/Truck 350/400/454. Will it work??

Now will i have to get the rebuild kit for that specific carburetor or can i get one with regards to the car its being applied to (1970 delta 88 455)? How do i know what motor it came off of? If it came off of a smaller motor, will i have to upgrade the jets? dc2x4drvr: where can i find that "decoder"?
