ProStar heads?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-OLDSMOBI...aeca2b&vxp=mtr

I have been shopping for heads during the last couple of months, and I came across these tonight. This is the lowest price I have seen for a set of complete "ready to run" aluminum heads. Although I have never heard of ProStar brand heads, they look just like ProComps. Anyone know what is up with ProStar heads?

Any other info on the heads being sold on ebay? opinions? would these be a better purchase than taking my stock #5's and having them souped up at the machine shop?

trust me i just said this . if the pro comps where out when i got my 6 heads done id go with these over the 5's. I paid 1100 to complretely reowork my heads minus porting, after the intake milling to fit and valve train components like roller tip rockers pushrods and guide platesstuds etc. i paid 1500. a few more hundered dollars and i would have had a much better head. Now i know that with sbo's you would need to mill them down to bring the compression up but these flow better than stock sbo heads as cast i belive., cutlassefi would know better than me.

Thanks, but you guys keep talking "ProComps" as opposed to the "ProStars" the OP mentions.....is there a difference? if so what? I am starting to gather parts for my 350 rebuild ( chassis is 98% done) and the price here is attractive, what other things would I likely run in to having to do / purchase for the ProStars?
Thanks!

Thanks, I will pobably go with Mondello. Is there really two different Mondello families involved with Olds parts?

Joe Mondello owned Mondello Performance (mondellotwister.com) but he sold it to Lynn Welfringer and it was run into the ground. They will sell you cheap Chinese made parts at USA made prices and they WILL break on you.

Bernard Mondello has his own shop but it is really small. You can find him, but I don't know that he has a website...he mostly sells on ebay.

Joe Mondello's "new" Company is still in business in Tennesee.

Joe Mondello Racing Engines

CJ Smith

CJ regularily posts on on ROP.

I haven't had any work done by them so I can't recommend one way or another

Bernard Mondello (bmre on ROP) has posted about these heads also:
