Oil Pump Pickup Gasket

Hello all, I think I lost my Oil Pump Pickup gasket, so at the moment I don't have it. Called Melling and they cant send me one. Called Felpro and they don't have a listing.

The only one I see that looks correct is for a Ford...see pic (Felpro 72607) , but have no idea what the dimensions are and neither does Felpro support.

Does anyone run a gasket on the bolt-on pickup tube and / or does anyone know what off the shelf part work, if any?

I have one at the shop. I can take a picture with some dimensions in the morning. Where are you located ? If you are not in a giant hurry I can cut one out of some gasket material and mail it to you.

Ill compare it to a Ford one and see how close it is.

Thanks Bill, I can get the measurements from my pickup tube, but wanted to know if the Ford gasket was a fit or not.
I'm banging my head as to whether or not I misplaced it. If you have a Ford pickup or gasket I'd be grateful for the hole sizes and spacing. I looked around for some gasket material in my garage and did not find anything large enough to make my own. The Ford gasket is between $2.50 and $4.00 and buying a sheet of gasket material is around $12. A part number that works would be a good thing to know if someone else needs to get one in a pinch. I remember glancing at one that looked like it and thought is was for my lawnmower carb, and ever since I've been trying to find it...oh well, wasn't paying attention as I am building my "start and stop" project (400 E block) for my '66 for the past 7 years and finally getting close to finishing it. And because it's a start stop project, I'm tending to lose some pieces along the way.

os,

I thought I had a 351 Ford oil pump here but I do not so I cant say for sure on the Fel Pro gasket. I think one of my customers might have one, I will check with him later on.

Try calling Melling and ask them if the gasket for the Olds screen is the same as the one for an 83S2 screen. That is the Ford screen.

I do have an extra Olds gasket and will gladly throw it in an envelope to you if you want. The pump and the screen both come with a gasket and I only need one.

OC,
A friend had a 351W pump and it measures almost exactly the same so the Fel Pro gasket should work fine for you.

$3.49 on Amazon, and it fits almost perfectly on a "Rocket Racing" pickup tube. It overhangs on a Milodon pickup, but holes line up on both perfectly. Thanks again Bill!
