need help with pistons

I have a 1961 super 88 with the 394 10 to 1 high compression engine. I am rebuilding it, and ordered new .030 over pistons. They came today, but, they are dished and have valve reliefs cut in the top. Is this so to compensate for the .030 over, or did they send me the wrong ones. they said they were for the four barrel carb.

Don't know about the 394, but the 425 pistons are dished for both the 9 to 1 and the 10.25 to 1 ratios - just not by the same amount. It wouldn't surprise me that the 394 was designed the same way.

My stock pistons are true flat tops. I am having a very hard time finding any true 10 to 1 flat tops anywhere. Everyone says they are no longer available.

Yep, they dont have the high compression ones, only the low compression for a 1961.

I have the bore size but can't find compression distance or pin size. Got anything on that?

I'll bet you can find a piston that'll work without a bunch of difficulty.
