Heater fitting on rear of intake manifold

I want to replace what appears to be a 1" Copper Male adapter with a small soldered piece of copper in it. Obviously not factory, and not my handy work either . Last owner must have been a plumber .

What is the proper part name or correct one I need? What was normally there when the car was stock?

455 motor, edelbrock torker manifold

Thanks

You can see what mine looks like in these pictures. It is painted red though. This is a performer 455 manifold.

For a car with A/C there's a valve in that spot called the heater control valve. For a non A/C car it's a restricted flow nipple/pipe. I have seen some pieces like it in the help section at the parts store. Don't know of the application on those pieces in the help section as I never checked it out. I know it shouldn't be an open flow nipple but a restricted flow.

THe restriction part on my car is actually on the heater core side.

You can get the heater core shut off valve from the parts store. It is about $40 though. If you just want a nipple then you can get a brass fitting from the hardware store.

Thanks guys! I think I found what I need, I will have to use a close brass nipple to make it work but it should be fine.

Description: USES A FLAT COIL SPRING FOR FLOW CONTROL.
UNLIKE THE O-RING STYLE, THIS COIL SPRINGS REGULATES FLUCTUATIONS IN FLOW MAINTAINING 5-6 GALLONS PER MINUTE.
