Fuel pump leaking oil

1962 394ci

Just got back from a cruise and noticed oil all over top of fuel pump and down the frame.
Mirror inspection shows oil all down the block under the head.
Nothing above bottom of head.

Fuel pump to motor bolts still tight.
With motor running I see nothing spewing out.

Cleaned everything up and took it for a ride and there is only oil on the fuel pump.

I will remove and inspect

There are 2 hole inside here and looks to be a clip that isn't holding anything.

oil must be coming out of these holes.
I'm gonna open pump and look.
Fresh rebuilt pump maybe 200 mile ago

Stop guessing. Add some UV dye to the oil. You can purchase UV dye & a UV pen light at most auto parts stores. Glasses aren't necessary but they help to amplify the UV light.

Guessing is over.
Its 100% the fuel pump.
Oil pushing past bad seal and out the 2 vent holes.
New seal on the way.

I like that dye though. I have another small leak somewhere it may help me locate.

For future reference, there's no oil passages, other than drainback holes sometimes, in head gaskets. If there is pressurized oil, there's a hole in a piston or broken ring.
