engine colour ?

Just wondered if anyone had a correct engine color pic for a 71 442 455.
Is the intake blue or gray like the manifolds?

thanks

Intake on the non-W30 455 was cast iron and should be engine color. The W30 had an Aluminum intake which was left unpainted natural.

Thanks Mike I think I made a little boo boo as I had seen it both ways. Maybe because most of the paint burns off the intake over time.

Yes that's true. Here's a pic of mine where you can see the burned off paint at the heat crossover section. I think they make block off plates that can be installed between the intake and head to block the heat crossover that will prevent that 'hot spot' from burning the paint off of there (suppose to improve performance a little too).

Thanks Mike guess mine is going to look like a W30 as it is all done and sitting in the dyno waiting to be fired up and broken in.
