ID this 455 enjine code
I pulled the 455 out of my parts car, can someone ID this enjine ?
numbers are:
F ....on side of block
68 F4 ....on rear of block
35M121464 .... below head on drivers side
396021Fa GST .... on front of motor
Any help is appreciated!

I pulled the 455 out of my parts car, can someone ID this enjine ?

F ....on side of block = 455
68 F4 ....on rear of block not sure about the 68, but the concensus is F4 would be the form number for the casting.
35M121464 .... below head on drivers side it's a 1975 engine that came out of a car manufacutred on the Lansing MI assembly line.
396021Fa GST .... on front of motor 455 casting number. The "a" indicates that it's the revised block used from 1973-1976.

yeah, I figured its just a smogger motor which is ok, as It's just going to be a cruiser, motor runs good and doesn't smoke at all so I think I'm going to drop it in my 68 ragtop. Should still make some good torque though. Thanks for the info.
