Edelbrock air gap manifold

Went to install the alt brackets on the engine today and the bracket that bolts to the intake manifold will not line up!

Has anyone else encountered this problem?
If so what's the fix?

Thanks!

I'd venture say that anyone who has ever installed an E'brock intake has encountered this problem. Slot the hole in the bracket is about all you can do.

I fixed it! I took a grinder to it and mocked it all up and it seems to be be ok. Just gotta get it powder coated and it should be ok!

Thanks!

Hey Steve how much room do you have between the air cleaner and the hood and what carb are you using?

I am considering buying an air gap for my 69 and running a 950 holley so just wondering what clearance there will be if any, I have heard several people say they liked the intake and how much did it help you or did you notice a difference. Thanks Dave
