Eagle H beams hitting block... 455 build

Has anyone had to clearance the block for there Eagle H beams? I did a search but could not find anything. Mine are hitting the block.

Yes everytime. You don't need to remove much though. And I use the thickness of a 8" black tie wrap to gauge the clearance between the block and the rod bolt.

I am bumping this thread because I just snagged some eagle rods for my 455.

Mark, would you be kind enough to pop the pictures on here? That way future folks can see what is going on too.

That doesn't look that bad. Which cylinder is that? And is it only 1 cylinder that needs to be clearanced?

It doesn’t take that long if you have the right grinder Etc. and you have to do all eight cylinders, not sure which one that one is.

Anyone know if the 400 G block also required notching when running Eagle H rods?
